Gambler's Help Services are funded to provide education and information activities in partnership with local groups. Community education and development projects are designed to help change people's behaviour and reduce the incidence and harm caused by problem gambling.
The program contains three main elements:
Including service promotion, professional training general training stakeholder training and liaising with professionals in the field.
Focussing on collaboration with relevant partners to develop referral pathways, working with local government to develop problem gambling programs and practices.
Fostering leadership skills and knowledge in the community, networking and contributing to local community activities through community development workers and helping to develop community programs that aid social inclusion for groups at risk of developing problem gambling behaviours.
