Gambling can seriously affect many aspects of an individual’s life. Gambling can also affect family members, friends and carers.
This page is aimed at young people who may be worried about thier own gambling or the gambling of a friend or close family member.
If that could be you, please check out Gpack, Young People Gambling and Problem Gambling Resource Kit.
Gpack aims to help young people make informed decisions about gambling. It provides young people with useful and practical information about problem gambling, whether it is their own gambling or that of another person.
Gpack was developed by the Youth Action Group of the Council of Gamblers Help Services. Email yag@gamblershelp.org for more information.
For some research in this area have a look at the 2000 report by the Department of Human services entitled "The Impacts of Gambling on Adolescents and Children [PDF 2200K].
